The "Federal Fraud Prevention Workforce Training Act" establishes a government-wide training program to prevent fraud and improper payments in federal programs. It will require officials to undergo comprehensive training on identifying risks, using resources and systems, reporting mechanisms for suspected fraud, and establishing internal controls. The program will be compulsory for certain agency positions and will require certification after completion. Additionally, it includes provisions for making the program available to state, local, or tribal-administered programs. The Act mandates reporting on the program's implementation and effectiveness. The Act becomes effective 180 days after enactment unless regulations are prescribed earlier.
