The bill aims to amend several sections of the United States Code related to veterans' education benefits and assistance programs. It introduces changes in repayment timing for Armed Forces members contributing to Post-9/11 Educational Assistance, provides treatment for certain independent study programs, options for absence from education due to military service, and compliance surveys for educational institutions and training establishments. Additionally, it requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to notify school certifying officials of handbook updates and extends limits on pension payments until March 31, 2033.
